About Me.
Sawadee kha! My name is Kae, and I'm the owner of Wanida Thai Spa.
Like many Thais, I love massage and spa treatments.
I have been interested in Thai massage my whole life and have both received and given lots of treatments - in everyday life as well as a professional spa therapist at the well regarded Thai Square Spa in Covent Gardens here in London.
To complement my life-long learnings, I have also received formal training - most notably from the legendary Wat Pho
temple in Thailand, as well as accreditations from the UK.
About Thai Massage.
Thai massage is a system of massage and manipulation developed in Thailand.
The massage recipient changes into loose, comfortable clothes and lies on a mat or firm mattress.
The receiver may be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, but deep static and rhythmic pressures form the core of the massage.
The massage practitioner leans on the recipient's body using hands and usually straight forearms locked at the elbow to apply firm rhythmic pressure. The massage generally follows designated lines (Sen) in the body. Legs and feet of the giver can be used to
fixate the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fixate the body, while the feet do the massaging
action.

About Thai Lanna.
The Kingdom of Lanna - was a kingdom centered in present-day
northern
Thailand from the 13th to 18th centuries. The cultural
development of the people
of Lanna, the Tai Yuan people, had begun long
before as successive Tai Yuan kingdoms preceded Lanna.
With “Lanna-style”, we mean the beautiful art and decorative designs from this era, that is still notable in northern Thailand.
